Just chill stuff ya know

Seems all I wanna listen to these days, is chill-wave hip-hop and electro, songs than can easily become your everyday soundtrack no matter the situation. Cheers Slan.

Love Is All I Got - Feed Me & Crystal Fighters

Hello (Urban Noize Remix) - Lana Del Rey feat. Jay-Z

IPlayYouListen - ODESZA

I Tried So Hard - Night Works

baq 2 skool

So much good stuff out there, I see myself obliged to post a "baq 2 skool" list, this is just getting irritating now… In this one you will find a kit that will undoubtedly leave you up to date on any genre you might appreciate. Please find the menu below.

Appetizers Rap/Hip-Hop/Swag

*Just What I Am (Ft. King Chip) - Kid Cudi // I normally moderately like Cudi. This is worth playing over and over especially during smoky nights.

*CLIQUE - Kanye West, Jay-z, Big Sean // Clique is a french word, period.

*Cockiness Remix feat. Asap Rocky - Rihanna // Suave beat, love Asap…

Mains Chill-Wave/House/Baby-Making-Sounds

*Ultra Light (Original Mix) - Surkin // I doubt this is the most recent stuff out there, but I discovered it during my first night at le baron nyc and trust me it was effective. Nothing like a good piano riff.

*The Veldt (PrototypeRaptor's Serve Over Ice Bootleg Remix) - Deadmau5 // Effectively gently poured over ice for your greatest eargasm.

*Every Chance We Get We Run (feat. Tegan Quin & Sara) - David Guetta & Alesso // We heard it a million times, Guetta is dead, he's finished, he's commercial. Really mate? I think Papa Guetta is in top shape.

*Sweet Nothing (feat. Florence Welch) - Calvin Harris // I think we all lost it when we discovered spectrum in Ibiza, now this…

*Eistee aus der Dose - Klangkarussell // Again this is not the freshest. But judging by the unanimous positive response that I received when I posted "Sonnentanz" a couple months ago, I think we'll just forget about the release date and bop our heads to this one too. Cheers Fredy.

Desserts House/Electro/Dubstep/PhatonPhat

*Mind Dimension (The Bloody Beetroots Remix) - Tiga // Not so recent, also discovered at le B, effective nonetheless.

*Calypso - Excision & Datsik // I don't care what you do while listening to this song, just make sure you're entourage is safe first.

*WHO (Original Mix) - Tujamo & Plastik Funk // Stumbled on this one a couple milli-seconds before finishing the list. I don't think I've heard anything that effective since "Let the Bass Kick" and yes that was back in longy.

*Go Deep (Torro Torro Remix) - Neoteric & Wax Motif // We all thought this was just another cute house song where kids sang along, until the drop.

Summer012 Recap'

So, it's been a while. Hope you all had a good time. I did. Please find below a fine selection of tunes I have accumulated and carefully selected, for you, during the past two estival months. You know the drill, it goes like this: name, artist, explanation. Also in bold you'll find what I think are the highlights of this summer.

Ibiza

Alright chums, this is the best electro and house songs of this summer. All freshly discovered live in Ibiza. But careful some are very phat, so if you're planning on listening to those while doing some sunday afternoon sewing with your old mates, think again, you've been warned.

* Spectrum (Calvin Harris Mix) - Florence and the Machine // The first song I ever blogged here was from Florence, enough said.

* Tung - Deniz Koyu // Unknown by everyone supported by all the best djs in the world Koyu's tune was everywhere this summer. Simply mad.

* No Access (Original Mix) - Michael Woods // You will hear the drop and you will know.

* Beat Down - Steve Aoki & Angger Dimas ft Iggy Azalea // Vocals, steep drop, phat beat, Aoki? done.

* Listen (Original Mix) - Chopstick & JohnJon // This one ladies and gentlemen, is phat in a very chill and addicting way I predict you will each listen to it (as I did) about half million times.

* Spectrum (A-Trak & Clockwork Remix) - Zedd Ft. Matthew Koma // Simple, efficient.

Chill List

I am very proud of this list. I even considered not sharing it all at once because I think it is too much good stuff at once and you might overdose from it. Shuffle that shit you cannot go wrong.

* Berlin - Modeselektor // Found this on my mother's ipod, thanks madre.

* Gasoline - Alpine // Typical lover beat, lyrics combo.

* I'm God - Clams Casino // Minimalistic yet complex. Love the title as well.

* Marriage - Gold Panda // This song is youtube famous, you'll know why straight away.

* Muy Tranquilo - Gramatik // This one is my baby. No-one knows it and it deserves worldwide recognition.

* Say My Name (Cyril Hahn Remix) - Destiny's Child // Not at all why you would expect from a Destiny's Child remix.

* Sunset Funk (MP's 'Sweet Disposition' Edit) - MAM // Close your eyes.

* Seriously - Shlohmo // Probably too chill for you.

* Sr. Sly - Ghost // Really excited about this band, one of the rising stars of 2012.

* If U Got It - Chris Malinchak // Exactly everything we love.

* Love Like This - The Establishment // Same.

* You Are While I Am Invisible - XXYYXX // Another guy you wanna look out for, he's 16 years old and he's got that Chet Faker feel…

* Female Robbery - The Neighbourhood // Love the dramatic start of this song.

* Sunny (Mercury Edit II) - Marvin Gaye // This is HUGE! Biggest highlight of this summer.

* A Million And One Questions - Kanye West // Oldschool freestyle from Kanye on a Jay-Z beat always gets the job done.

Chill012 List

El Dush Mix

Indeed it took time and sweat but it is here, a sneak preview of all the beautiful sounds that await us this summer. This mix is destined to Fredy as much as all the true music lovers that usually scroll down MS's page. Which is why all the songs in it are new, none of them have been posted before. Here's how I came about making this mix:

After seeing Fredy Brandis in nyc he explained to me he had lost his computer in some random bus over in the far corners of the globe and from that point onward I was given the challenging task to put together for him a mix of all the good stuff he had missed on his trip and might add to his new laptop. Fredy is a stressed out lover boy from Germany to say the least so this mix is packed with a variety of romantic, rebel, twisted, dark and light hearted sing along gems that I am sure most of you will enjoy which is why it is available on MS. The track-list explanation:

Love Interruption - Jack White // What best to start this DushMix than someone who melodically explains what he awaits from love… (Yes Dush you will love this one!)

Cigarettes & Chocolate - Chet Faker // This man has produced the chillest song I have ever heard, it is more than likely you will feel high even though you're not.

Reaching Out (Fred Falke Remix) - Nero // Fred Falke is a king, he's got that talent to make all tracks he touches incredibly disco, electro and sexually pleasant.

How Will I Know (Van Hooft & Forever Kid Remix) - Whitney Houston // Classic type of sing along house song that Fredy would by day say he hates and by night scream the chorus until he passes out.

1940 (Submarines Remix) - Amplive // The year is 1940 and something, isn't, right… Boom you're hooked!

Foreign Language feat. Jess - Flight Facilities // Mmhh so summery and fresh, where's the rhum? Where's the lime? Let's make mojitos and have sex on the beach all night, never-mind the sand…

Swimmhaus Johannesburg (Star Slinger Remix) - Fixers // Simple yet indescribable.

Diduntdidunt (Feat. Saigon) - Mark Ronson // Every good playlist has at least one hip-hop song, beat from Ronson, verse from Saigon, excellent recipe…

Disparate Youth - Santigold // Indie mellow song that gets the job damn well done.

I Got You Babe - Bahamas // Same in more romantic. And that chorus just feels you heart with hopes.

This Head I Hold - Electric Guest // Watch out for these guys they're gonna make it big, here's one of their numerous tunes.

Chateau (Hey Champ Remix) - Housse De Racket // Electro with a disco French twist.

Blue Jeans (Gesaffelstein Remix) - Lana Del Rey // Marsh's favourite song pumped up by Gesaffelstein, yep it just got a lot better.

Feel Good Inc (Wheel Wells 'Bats In The Belfry' Remix) - Gorillaz // A classic perfectly remixed. Respect.

Garden (Original Mix) - Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs // I would say dope slash weird, therefore perfect for Lord Dush and anyone with swag.

Spiderwebs (Prod. by Jonathan Marquez) - Azad Right // This one goes out to all my "heart-broken" brothers and sisters out in the wild, just for that dope sample and that classic first line: «I can't maintain a relationship ; I love you, I'm not in love with you…» Call 911 he just killed it.

Just Smile for Me (ft. Bobbie Gordon) - Bondax // Ok, Bondax and Chet Faker probably have produced the chillest songs on my laptop atm. You can expect to play that 2min 20 secs of dopeness over and over.

Wires - The Neighbourhood // This is the latest one added to the list before posting it,  press play you'll immediately understand why it had to in LeDushMix.

Stay classy planet Earth…

Ps: Yes I will be posting more regularly from now on, just had to get this playlist off my chest.

"Vintage" Hip-Hop Cut

Grown Up - Danny Brown

Put Your Money Down On It

This song has obvious swag, a bit like this guy and his cat…

Count On It - Dunson

Chill Hop

Two outrageously chill songs. First one is a remix by a "Brooklyn guy" who did a good job toning down Lil Wayne's voice and mashing it up with Imogen Heap, the result is pretty good, see for yourself. Then we have Asher Roth, the beast, who dropt a new album I think a couple of months ago packed with gems, here's the one I have been listening to lately…

Fly By Night (R3K Remix) - Lil Wayne

Hard Times Feat. Kids These Days, Casie Veggies (Prod. Blended Babies) - Asher Roth

Kinda of had to be posted…

Glory (Feat. B.I.C.) [Blue Ivy Carter] - Jay-Z

stage dive the fuck out of 2012

You didn't think it was gonna last did you? The friends, the daily log in to facebook, the break down break up cycle, the banter laughter, the mellow days, the cray days… I mean come on you really thought one day you were gonna grow old, have children, a company car and that your malvern school colours would turn to a regular Brooks Brother tie you'll wear every day… Lame really. Don't worry about it, none of that is gonna happen, cause on the 22nd of December we're all going down, for good! Yes that means you and your dog. So you won't grow to see your face fail to the attraction of gravity, your hait turn grey and your grandchild bursting out of laughter when they go through your old profile… It's the end, it's coming, the only thing we can do is accept it, and I thought that if die we might as well do it to a classic soundtrack, so I'll try to provide you with some tunes to cheer up mother Earth's last few days… Cheer up fool!

Stage Dive - Sol

two American Terrorists

American Terrorist III - Lupe Fiasco

Recovery

Otis - Jay-Z & Kanye West

Kanye

Jay

Hard Knock Life - Jay-Z

Jay-Z & Kanye - 99 Problems

Jay-Z - Izzo (H.O.V.A.)

Kanye - Runaway

Jay & Kanye - Niggas in Paris

On this one the crowd made so much noise they came back and replayed it 6 times one after the other, you'll see Jay make an announcement in the middle of the video saying that Boston has beaten the record of most come backs during the Watch The Throne Tour.

That shit Cray!

Driving me MAAAD

This song has been driving me insane the past few days, just as this girl probably would… (dayuuum what a poet!) Here's to some really chill shiiit…

Keep Ya Head Up - Hendersin

Catch-up

I know it's been a while since the last post but I have been held hostage by my student life, between New York, my birthday, mid-terms, etc… Anyway, this is the selection of what I have been listening to recently, and let me tell you it is steaming hot! Whatever you feel like these days you fill find what you need in this post, guaranteed! Especially if you feel like raving… But not only… You'll see! ;)

PHAT de chez PHAT

- Rich Bitch (Original Mix) - Oliver Twizt ft. John Ortiz By far the MOST MENTAL beat/blowup/chorus song I have heard this year, just mental! A MisterStud Favourite!
- We Are Rockstars (Cold Blank Remix) - Does It Offend You, Yeah Fucking sick as well, impossible not to move your body, I am just loosing control as I write this just thinking about it…
- Buy My Love (Fareoh Remix) - Wynter Gordon The typical house song everyone loves, and  evenmore…

Your dose of Hype-Hop
- Make The Money - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis I swear your head will automatically start bouncing when the beat drops, plus it's just soooo chilled…
- Finito (Feat. Lil Wayne & Pharrell) - N.O.R.E. Pharrell on the beat/chorus, Wayne drops the verse, gets the job done…
- The Kick (prod. by DJ Tech-Neek) - XV I love XV, I have posted quite a few of his tunes now, this one is already a few months old, but with this inception beat is just mad, must-have!

Ps: Chill song for the lovers out there, I advise you to check his whole album, it's really good, he also made a song with Snoop Dogg, so you see… Not as gay as you think!
-  Dreaming - Mayer Hawthorne

aaah good times

This song is quite good in it's own genre, it reminds of those good old boarding school years, back when T-Pain use to rule most of our Longy Saturday Night playlist…

5 o'Clock - T-Pain (ft. Wiz Khalifa & Lily Allen)

Huge!

88-Keys ft. Kanye West - Stay Up! (Viagra)

$

Of course we've heard it a million times… But this new remix is definitely worth listening to… Give it a try.

I Need a Dollar - YONAS

And don't forget to "Get High"

Fresh champagne poppin', booty bouncing from Harlem…

Lad Sound XI

Kian & Marsh taking the dust off drunken Chesh

Act harsh… Dance it off…

Harsh f. Busta Rhymes & Rick Ross - Styles P

Foamy Fresh

He's back with that funny video…

Mac Miller - Frick Park Market

Cookin' Soul

Since the original of this song is bound to end on your Ipod anyway, let me introduce this remix from Spanish trio Cookin' Soul (from Barcelona) who've modified the beat just so people who are usually unaccustomed to Hip-Hop will start taking booty shakin' lessons…

Otis (Cookin' Soul Remix) - Jay-Z & Kanye West
